Our Little Telus Fan

So I do believe I've mentioned the Little Lady's fascination with hippos, no? Specifically the hippos from the Telus commercials. Well, she's become a bit obsessed with watching the commercials on our computers. She can't even walk by my laptop without pointing at it and demanding her "po".
We've since branched out to explore the other Telus animal commercials. She saw the image of the animals on the youtube page and kept pointing to them until we would finally click on one. She's about thisclose to figuring out how to work the mouse herself so that she can watch what she wants. At first I was against this, but I now think that it would be easier if she could just operate the computer herself.
Here she is watching a Telus commercial.....you can tell which animals are in the commercial because Madeline makes the animal sounds when they come on the screen. My favourite part: when she tries to tickle the animals.

Peek-a-boo

Mad's new favourite game is peek-a-boo. She does a few rounds herself and then signals for "more".....which means it's your turn!

New Favourite Game

Maddy has a rocking chair in her room (it's been around since I was a baby....and probably before that) and she's just discovered it. Normally her stuffed animals are on the chair but recently she's started to pull the animals off the chair and demand that she get to sit up there. Once she's on the chair, she then requests that the animals join her. You must remember that she only knows about 4 words (Dad, banana, dog, woof) so all of this communicating is done through pointing and occassionally crying (her, not me). But as you can see, once she's up there she's a happy little lady.

Morning!

It takes a lot to get me out of bed. A LOT! I love my sleep and I especially love sleeping in. There is nothing that gets me out of bed faster though, than the sound of Maddy talking to herself in her crib and saying "Mama. Mama. Mama". And this is usually what I'm greeted with.

As soon as I go into her room, she starts to point at all the things she wants to see. Everything is "dat, dat". Her favourite thing is to look at picture of her on the wall.

I see a trend developing

The newest thing around our house is Maddy's desire to climb into things. Over the weekend, every time I turned around she was sitting in something new. Sometimes she was happy with her decision. Other times she was not.
