Ambies comes to visit

Amber and Matt dropped by on Saturday for a very quick visit. They're looking at houses in the neighbourhood. Yay!!

Date Night

So on the weekend my Mom and Aunt babysat Maddy so that Michael and I could have our first night out. We brought Madeline to Nana's house around 4pm and went to dinner at 6pm. I used to make fun of people for eating at this hour on a Saturday....but now it all seems to make sense. 6pm actually even seemed a bit late given that I wanted to be home at a good time to put her to bed. My how things have changed :)

Anyhoo....so in our excitement for "date night", Michael and I went skipping to the car from Nana's house. I managed to then fall on the pavement and ripped my pants open and scraped up my knee. I now have a huge scab forming on my knee and I no longer have my favourite pair of cords. We still made it to dinner on time and it was lovely!!

A new level of head lifting

I know I posted earlier pics about Maddy lifting her head but I felt the need to also post these because I think she's taken head lifting to a whole new level. Check it out - I think you'll agree!

I got a new hat!!

A visit with Pam

Pam came over last night to have a long overdue visit with Maddy and I.

Fingers and Einstein

Maddy used to be all about sucking her thumb. She's now moved past the thumb and onto the next two fingers. There are also times when she tries to fit as many fingers (and sometimes a toy) into her mouth at the same time. Her favourite time for this is while watching Baby Einstein DVDs in her vibrating chair. Oh what a life!!

Tummy Time

Was reading some books the other day and realized that Maddy should be having more tummy time than she has right now. She usually hates it, so I don't force it. But the book talked about delayed development and I got scared.....so now we do tummy time everyday!! I read that putting her up on a higher surface helps, cause then she can see things around her (not just the floor!). It's helped a lot and she now really likes it.




She likes to drool when on her tummy.....
